Estrogen is the female hormone responsible for menstrual flow, breast enlargement and development of female features in general. Fibroids, also called uterine fibroids, are non-cancerous (benign) growths that form in the muscular wall of the uterus. Fibroids are the most common tumor, affecting up to 70 percent of women of reproductive age. Many are very small and cause no problem, but some can grow quite large, stretching the uterus to the size of a six month pregnancy.

While some fibroids cause no symptoms, others cause discomfort, painful intercourse and heavy menstrual bleeding, prolonged menstrual flow or infertility.

DIETARY NEED 

Diet plays role in fibroid because it contributes to the amount of estrogen circulating in the women body. 
The first is drinking plenty of water which ensures that toxins are flushed out of the body and if you do not drink enough fluids, toxins will accumulate in the organs, and this is thought to be one of the various reasons why fibroids form.

 
Eating low fat diets for example, dairy products, such as fish and skinless white meat poultry. Also increasing aerobic exercise.
